Meaning: when you talk turkey – you get down to business or start being straightforward during your negotiations.For example:

OK, we had fun guessing who is who in this game, but now if we make a mistake – we will loose the game. So, let’s talk turkey: who is the Sheriff of the game and whom did you check during the past 2 nights?
We were discussing business stuff, but the boss said, “Not now, my boys. We never talk turkey at the lunch.”
